Role in LandShift
In LandShift, the University of Geneva contributes its expertise in interdisciplinary research grounded in spatially explicit information and indicators related to the past, present, and future states of complex and changing environments. Its toolbox includes GIS, remote sensing, relational databases, statistical analyses, and dedicated modelling tools across various domains such as ecology, hydrology, demography, climate, global health, risk assessment, and land cover analysis. In particular, the University brings in-depth knowledge of Earth Observation Data Cubes and the Living Earth framework, enabling the capture of consistent and scalable information on landscape states and dynamics to support future-oriented planning.
