ELO

European Landowners' Organization

The European Landowners’ Organisation (ELO) is a dynamic and independent non-governmental organization committed to supporting its members across a wide spectrum of countryside-related issues. As a federation of national associations from both EU member states and beyond, ELO serves as the unified voice for landowners, farmers, foresters, land managers, and rural entrepreneurs at the European political level.

ELO advocates for the interests of its diverse membership, working to address the evolving challenges of our time, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and the growing need for a strategic autonomy. With a forward-thinking approach, the organization is dedicated to fostering a sustainable and prosperous countryside, while shaping policies that ensure the long-term health and vitality of rural landscapes.

Role in LandShift

The European Landowners’ Organisation (ELO), in the project, contributes to the development of the LandShift platform and the transformation of scientific data into actionable knowledge, ensuring that complex satellite data is processed and presented in formats that are easily understood and utilized by a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, ELO will look for synergies with other projects to amplify the results impact, to engage key policymakers and stakeholders and ensure their active involvement in the project’s long-term success. Tailored workshops will be organized for knowledge exchange, participants will be able to share experiences, identify challenges, and provide feedback to refine tools and strategies.
