TerraNIS was created with the ambition of providing geo-information services derived from satellite imagery, for use in viticulture, agriculture, environmental management and regional planning. In a context of necessary adaptation to climate change, TerraNIS has resolutely chosen to focus on the design and sale of decision-making tools for sustainable development.

After more than 25 years’ experience in space applications, acquired within the Airbus group (first at Matra then Astrium / Infoterra / Spot Image), Marc Tondriaux and David Hello founded TerraNIS in March 2014. Today, TerraNIS has nearly 20 employees dedicated to the development and provision of our services, and around 25% of our sales are devoted to research and development. Their customers are located in France and Europe, but also in South America (where TerraNIS has a subsidiary in Chile), Africa and Asia.

Terranis’ main raw material is images, whether from satellites or other sources. Their core competence lies in our ability to select the right image for the right purpose, and to process it to extract accurate and relevant information. To do this, they use algorithms developed in-house or by their partners and always strive to rely on local users to constantly improve services. Thanks to them, Terran is is able to adapt our methods and products to specific use cases (agricultural practices, regulatory frameworks, etc.). Likewise, we are always on the lookout for commercial or technical partners to enrich our offer and ensure local service.

Terranis always strives to be as close as possible to the needs of the end-users of our services. That’s why the team includes people with dual skills in remote sensing and agronomy or land use planning, capable of understanding customers’ challenges and meeting their expectations as effectively as possible. They strive to develop high-tech, value-added solutions that can be easily deployed in any territory. Terranis can develop tailor-made solutions, but the credo remains genericity to offer services at the best price and with the best possible performance for customers
